Delicate is a business created to give people's skin the real nourishing look & feel that it needs. Our skin is very delicate which is why it needs something organic, nourishing and something that leaves it smelling rich & ambrosial. We use nothing but pure butters & Sea Moss infused Oil to keep skin smooth & moisturised, we also use natural essential oils to give our product that extra scent but we also have an 'Original' choice which contains no scent (it smells beautiful without anyway!). Our body scrubs are made with Sea Moss Gel & Natural Himalayan sea salt which is a natural exfoliants that gently buff away dead skin cells, revealing a velvety-smooth texture underneath. These exquisite exfoliants create the perfect canvas for our nourishing body butters to work their magic.

  • Sea Moss

    • It has anti-inflammatory properties- Sea Moss has a high concentration of Zinc & Sulphur which helps with dry skin problems
    • It helps balance oil production- The Sulphur also helps with oily skin as it can help with the overproduction of sebum.

  • Himalayan Salt

    • Pink salt has anti-inflammatory properties that heal and soothe skin by calming irritations and breakouts. It also helps retain moisture in the deeper layers of the skin
    • Salt is a natural exfoliator and sloughs off dead skin cells easily. It contains essential minerals that soften skin and restore hydration at the deepest levels.

  • Shea Butter

    • Shea butter contains antioxidants such as vitamin E, which help protect the skin from free radical damage caused by UV radiation, pollution, and other environmental stressors. It helps to maintain the skin's health and vitality.

    Decyl glucoside is a mild, non-ionic surfactant that is commonly used in skincare

    • Gentle Cleansing: Decyl glucoside is known for its mild cleansing properties. It effectively removes dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin and hair without causing irritation or dryness. Due to its gentle nature, it is suitable for sensitive skin types.
    • Biodegradability: It is considered environmentally friendly because it is biodegradable and derived from renewable resources.
    • Compatibility: Decyl glucoside is compatible with other surfactants and ingredients commonly used in cosmetic formulations. It can be used in combination with anionic, cationic, and amphoteric surfactants.

  • Cocamidopropyl betaine

    Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) is a surfactant derived from coconut oil, we use this in our body washes & Shampoos

    • Skin Conditioning: Despite its cleansing abilities, Cocamidopropyl betaine is considered relatively mild and is less likely to cause skin irritation compared to some other surfactants. It can leave the skin feeling soft and smooth after use
    • Surfactant and Cleansing Agent: CAPB is a mild amphoteric surfactant, meaning it can act as both a surfactant (lowering surface tension to aid in the removal of dirt and oil) and a detergent (capable of foaming and emulsifying). It helps to cleanse the skin and hair by binding to dirt and oil particles and allowing them to be rinsed away.
    • Foaming Agent: Cocamidopropyl betaine produces a rich and stable lather in personal care products such as shampoos, body washes, and liquid soaps. It enhances the sensory experience of cleansing by providing a luxurious foam.

  • Cocoa Butter

    • Cocoa butter has fantastic moisturising qualities as it is rich in essential fatty acids that nourish and protect the skin
    • Not only do the naturally occurring antioxidants in Cocoa butter keep the product fresher for longer, they also help to fight free radicals that can have a damaging effect on the skin

  • Colloidal Oats

    • Oats contain compounds such as beta-glucans and avenanthramides that have anti-inflammatory properties. They help to soothe and calm irritated or inflamed skin, making oats particularly beneficial for sensitive or eczema-prone skin.
    • Oats contain lipids and proteins that help to strengthen the skin's natural barrier function. This barrier protects the skin from external aggressors such as pollutants and irritants, reducing the risk of moisture loss and sensitivity.

Every single ingredient was thought out, making sure its accessible to Vegans, people with sensitive skin and individuals with different preferred scents, there's a scent type for everyone.

When it comes to the making of our lotions and body washes, we use the gentlest types of ingredients with the added use of Oat to give your skin that extra moisturising boost that it needs. We check our body washes to ensure the pH level is just right so there's no cause of irritation.

And lastly the key ingredient of our brand, the Sea Moss, sourced from St Lucia and soaked in our Jojoba Oil for 2 weeks for maximum nutritious benefits. We don't waste anything, the sea moss gets whizzed up into gel and used in our body scrubs as well as the Jojoba Oil.
